The Hyattsville Crossing Business Improvement District
A BID in the Making
Efforts to form a Business Improvement District (BID) in Hyattsville Crossing have been ongoing since early 2022, after initial study demonstrated the potential of BIDs as an economic development tool in Prince George’s County and feasibility in Hyattsville Crossing.
If formed, the Hyattsville Crossing BID will be the first in Prince George’s County.
A Business Improvement District is an economic development organization that allows for collective investment in services and activities to enhance the vitality of a targeted geographic area for businesses, residents, and visitors.
Hyattsville Crossing property owners, business owners, residents, and community stakeholders are integral to establishing a BID, with ongoing leadership from the City of Hyattsville and Prince George’s County.
BID Vision
“The Hyattsville Crossing Business Improvement District is an advocate for an inclusive and connected neighborhood. The BID amplifies Hyattsville Crossing’s unique identity, robust retail and residential offerings, transportation access, and more. The BID enables its stakeholders to collectively invest in valuable services—promoting beautification, comfort, and safety; highlighting Hyattsville Crossing’s individuality and place-based identity; marketing; and supporting economic development—that will improve the quality of life for all and attract investment, jobs, visitors, and residents.”
